If we look at the way in which sexuality is perceived in the world today, for most people, sex is at best an experience or an excitement and at worst an obligation that we have to endure and the general consensus is that the whole experience occurs basically in our genitals. The world’s idea of sex is very genitally focused and also quite mentally focused. In fact, most of the sex that’s happening with people is not even genital. It is very much happening in our heads – we think about something which then arouses us, it causes a response in the body, but it’s not a response that comes directly from our meeting with the beloved in our sexuality.
